Drink Driving Offences In Ireland

levothyroxine price without insurance Section 4 of The Road Traffic Act, 2010 reduces the drink driving alcohol limits for all drivers.  This is a very important consideration when driving “the morning after the night before” as the lower limits now mean that it is extremely easy to commit an offence.  The 2010 Act also differentiates between experienced drivers and new drivers i.e. provisional licence holders or those who hold a drivers licence for 2 years or less or have no valid licence. Lower alcohol limits apply to new drivers. The lower levels also apply to drivers of buses, lorries, trailers, work vehicles and other public service vehicle drivers.

The following Table shows the permissible limits for Experienced and Other Drivers pursuant to the legislation:

As you will see from this the new levels are particularly low and therefore extreme caution is urged. The only method of ensuring that you do not contravene the law is quite simply: “Don’t drink and drive.”
